The Staff Pad has partnered with an amazing healthcare organization in Las Vegas, NM to find an experienced Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer). This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled sonographer who is passionate about patient care and diagnostic excellence.


Position Overview: PRN Monday - Friday

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging exams, including but not limited to vascular, cardiac, abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, and small parts imaging. Special procedures such as biopsies may also be required.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound exams and ensure high-quality imaging for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile environment and properly manage equipment, ensuring functionality and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Transport patients to and from the exam room safely, while using proper body mechanics.
  • Verify patient identity and explain procedures to patients and their families, ensuring comfort and understanding.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and ensure that studies are accurately documented.
  • Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members as required.




Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of ultrasonography or demonstrated expertise sufficient to meet department standards.
  • ARDMS or CCI certification in at least one specialty, or registry-eligible (must achieve certification within one year of hire).
  • CPR certification (must be completed within 60 days of hire if not already current).
  • Preferably at least one year of hospital-based experience.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and function under stress.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, move, and position patients as needed.
  • Standing for extended periods and occasionally walking or bending.
