Value Analysis RN
Position Summary
The Clinical Value Analysis RN is responsible for evaluating, recommending, and implementing cost-saving strategies across clinical areas, including services, products, and processes. This role partners with interdisciplinary teams to support evidence-based decision-making, improve quality outcomes, and optimize resource utilization while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads clinical value analysis initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities across services, products, and processes
- Evaluates clinical supplies, equipment, and technologies for clinical effectiveness, safety, and cost efficiency
- Partners with physicians, nursing leadership, and supply chain teams to support evidence-based product and formulary decisions
- Analyzes clinical and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Develops and presents recommendations for standardization and cost reduction initiatives to leadership committees
- Supports implementation of approved value analysis and cost containment strategies across departments
- Monitors outcomes related to product changes, utilization, and cost savings to ensure effectiveness
- Collaborates with quality, safety, and compliance teams to align initiatives with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Participates in interdisciplinary committees related to clinical products, value analysis, and performance improvement
- Prepares reports, dashboards, and presentations using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or similar systems)
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four (4) years of progressive clinical experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of progressive management or supervisory experience in a hospital setting
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience with hospital supply chain processes and clinical product evaluation
- Demonstrated experience with clinical data analysis and reporting in a healthcare environment
Licensure & Certification
- Current active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nevada
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Required Skills & Competencies
- Certification in Healthcare Value Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent quality/value improvement methodology
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms
- Strong experience with evidence-based clinical decision-making and clinical product evaluation in a hospital setting
