THE JOB:

As a Law Clerk Intern, you’ll provide hands-on legal support to licensed attorneys, with a strong focus on litigation, labor, and employment law. This role is ideal for a motivated law student who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants real-world exposure to complex legal matters within a dynamic, fast-paced organization. You’ll contribute to legal research, drafting, and regulatory responses while supporting compliance with local, state, and federal laws—playing a meaningful role in advancing strategic legal initiatives across MGM Resorts International.

THE STARTING RATE: $28/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Support licensed attorneys on litigation and labor & employment matters

• Conduct legal research and assist with interpretation of applicable laws and regulations

• Draft legal memoranda, contracts, policies, procedures, and other legal documents under attorney direction

• Assist with responses to complaints and claims filed with federal and/or state agencies (e.g., EEOC) and courts

• Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented legal environment

• Handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required

• Currently enrolled as a Juris Doctor (JD) student at an accredited U.S. law school required with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong project orientation with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Sound judgment, decision-making, and listening skills.

• Ability to work independently while delivering exceptional service.

• Professional demeanor and appearance.

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays preferred.
