The Medical Records Clerk manages and maintains patient health records following organizational policies and regulatory requirements. You will ensure that you file, retrieve, and protect all medical documentation to support clinical and administrative tasks. You will report to the Referral Supervisor.

Location: CenterWell Senior Primary Care office located at 3265 E. Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89121

As a Medical Records Clerk you will perform clinical tasks such as:

  • File and maintain patient medical records both electronically and in physical form.

  • Retrieve records for authorized personnel and ensure tracking of record movement.

  • Review documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.

  • Enter and verify patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Respond to requests for medical records from patients, providers, and other healthcare entities, following confidentiality protocols.

  • Help scan, indexing, and archiving medical documents.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant privacy laws.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Medical Records experience

  • Experience in a healthcare setting or medical records management is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems.

Other Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and/or ICD-9 codes
