Summary Statement:

The Hostperson is at the forefront of the restaurant operation and is the first and last person to interact with the guest. This role will also work closely and communicate frequently with front of house/ back of house management and staff to ensure seamless, successful guest service.

Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:

  • Greet and welcome all guests upon entering the venue.
  • Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  • Bid farewell to all guests upon departing and extend an invitation to return to visit soon.
  • Oversee daily restaurant reservations and pre-seating assignment, when necessary.
  • Answer restaurant telephone courteously, quickly and efficiently.
  • Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Rotate to other Food & Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary.
  • Ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/ cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review company documents, etc.
  • Participate in in-house modeling programs, special casino events, banquet service functions, marketing campaigns and advertising and perform model/presenter tasks.
  • Pose for pictures as requested by management, appear in uniform or designated (logo) apparel for promotional activities at or away from venue.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.    

Qualifications: – Includes but is not limited to:

  • Basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for an extended period.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.

Preferred: 

  • Working knowledge restaurant table management software systems.
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • At least one year of customer service in a hospitality environment.

Preferred:

  • At least six months of previous experience as a hostperson or waiter in a similar or related field.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Position required licensing.
