This is more than just a bar; this is a theater experience. People from all over the world visit our Theater every single night and you (yes you!) will help them have a great time before and during the show. If you’re great at talking to people and making them laugh and delivering delicious beverages, then this opportunity might be a shot you should take. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: Promptly greets guests, takes beverage orders from the restaurant servers or directly from guests. Promptly prepares beverage orders for servers according to server tickets. Mixes alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails and other beverages as requested and in compliance with company standards and recipes. Checks identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol. Promptly notifies management of underage drinking guests who are obviously intoxicated. Rings up all drink and food orders in the POS system, collects payment for drinks and/or food served, balances all receipts and follows proper cash handling procedures. Ensures bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests. Promptly reports any defective product or equipment. Offers and serves food items to guests seated at the bar when appropriate or as requested. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions. Responsible for routine cleaning, set up and breakdown of bar. This includes all preparation required to run bar efficiently and smoothly. Washes and sterilizes glassware and keeps bottles, glassware and beverage products arranged to make an attractive display. WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: Excellent communication skills to interact with both server and guests to ensure all orders are correct and fulfilled. Possess the ethics and positive outlook that support our values and culture. Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues as they arise. Ability to work in high pressure, high volume, and loud environment. Knowledge of all alcohol and mixer behind the bar to ensure all drinks are made to standard. Must present a neat and professional appearance. Ability to accurately count money and provide change. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. QualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION WE NEED YOU TO HAVE: Health, TAM, and/or Non-Gaming Cards (&/or Sheriff Card) Must be 21 years of age. Ability to accurately count money and provide change. Knowledge of tray service and cocktail ingredients. At least 2 years of bartending experience. High School diploma or equivalent ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of (20-30) hours a week Ability to stand/walk continuously for 4-8 hours per day Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. with tray Will frequently reach, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic Work environment: exposure to food, liquor, mixing devices, drink machines, water, sanitizers, cleaning products, knives, other sharp objects, and slippery floors Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions This job description should not be interpreted as all-inclusive; it is intended to identify major responsibilities, skills and requirements of the job.
