Job Summary


We are seeking a highly motivated instructor to teach Healthcare Administration and Dental Administrative Assistant (DAA) courses. The ideal candidate has recent industry experience, enjoys mentoring future healthcare professionals, and is passionate about preparing students for success in both medical and dental administrative settings.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Teach Healthcare Administration and Dental Administrative Assistant courses in accordance with the approved curriculum, lesson plans, and syllabi.
  • Deliver engaging classroom and online instruction that promotes student learning and success.
  • Prepare, administer, and grade written and practical examinations.
  • Administer final written and/or practical examinations at the conclusion of each module.
  • Submit final course grades by the end of the week following the end of the term.
  • Provide academic support through online and in-person tutoring.
  • Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing student performance data.
  • Maintain a classroom environment that promotes maximum student learning and retention.
  • Ensure instruction aligns with the College's educational objectives and current industry standards.
  • Attend faculty meetings, in-service trainings, graduation ceremonies, and other College events as required.
  • Maintain professional appearance in accordance with the faculty dress code.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Chair.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of non-overlapping experience in the Dental Administrative Assistant field, required.
  • Recent professional experience in a Dental Administrative Assistant role or within a dental practice, required.
  • Medical Administrative experience, preferred.
  • Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience, preferred.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current instructional methods and adult learning principles.
  • Ability to integrate industry best practices into classroom instruction.

License/Certification

  • Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) Required within 75 days of hire.

Education

  • Associate's degree or higher in Healthcare Administration with two or more years of experience working in the dental field; OR
  • Associate's degree or higher in any field with three or more years of experience working in the dental field.

 Job Type 

  • Adjunct/On-Call

Schedule

  • Monday-Thursday: Per Diem 
    • Example hours: 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.
    • Friday-Sunday: Off

Salary 

  • $25.00-$25.48/hr
