Summary Description

The Team Lead Stone under the direction of a manager or supervisor will perform all the necessary day-to-day operations while leading their department. They will be held accountable for reviewing and enforcing safety procedures and policies. They will be assigning work tasks in the department, reviewing goals and KPI data and also ensure that quality checks are being performed, and that all production scheduled is completed on time.

  • Lead department in safety initiatives including PPE, monthly safety topics, safety committee participation and incident investigation.
  • Lead and assign associates to the necessary workstations based off demand needed. 
  • Ensure department has completed all assigned production in the necessary time. 
  • Train and develop associates. 
  • Establish and maintain standard work procedures.
  • Transfer from one task to another where demand is needed.
  • Monitor KPIs and adjust manpower and or work according to results.
  • Update and review with team and leaders results of work performed by department. 
  • Participate and promote continuous improvement events within department. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Ability to work in safe manner. 
  • Ability to plan, organize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to do the work of the position with minimal supervision.

Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of countertop industry. 
  • 12 months’ experience within the company and /or equivalent previous experience.
