Manufacturing Engineer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:

Identify and recommend the purchase, modification, and improvement of various equipment.
Manages discipline-specific subset of projects and is responsible for cost, schedule, and performance.
Responsible for defining the scope of the project subset and selecting team members.
Completes non-standard engineering & design work related to the installation and retrofit of varied, complex equipment.
Provides advanced day-to-day equipment troubleshooting support to Maintenance.
Provides input into the development of standards, processes, and procedures within the department.
Provides coaching and mentoring to less experienced Engineers within their own discipline.
May specialize in one of the following disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical, Civil.
May be responsible for managing multi-disciplined projects.
Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED FOR THE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:

Four-year college degree required.
Five or more years of relevant experience required.

PREFERRED FOR THE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:

Ability to work in a production-oriented environment.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
Ability to perform independent work requiring experience and independent judgment.
Application of recognized Project Management principles keying on Cost, Schedule and Performance in the implementation of projects.
Ability to apply engineering discipline training in the design of equipment and
fabrications.
Ability to direct outside consultants, contractors, and material suppliers.
Skilled in the use of CAD systems (3D capabilities preferred), MS office software packages, and engineering design software packages.
