The Boat House of Lauderdale lakes is looking to add an A+ team player to join our team. Our Service Manager is responsible for the effectiveness and profitability of the service and parts departments of the assigned location.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and model customer satisfaction standards to all persons within the department.
  • Design and implement processes and procedures that support customer satisfaction standards and meet business financial goals.
  • Monitor the inventory control system, meeting our company, warranty and retail customer needs for parts and accessories.
  • Manage a customer relations follow-up procedure designed to increase the parts and service business through repeat and referral business.
  • Track profitability.
  • Evaluate parts and service pricing against competitors for competitive rates and make recommendations to president.
  • Establish and maintain successful relationships with employees in other departments within the local and extended organization and with vendors.
  • Manage subordinate employees to include but not limited to: hiring, training, discipline, and if necessary, termination.
  • Manage the Ordering, Shipping and Receiving processes for parts and accessories. Verify processes balance availability, cash flow and customer satisfaction. Establish policies as needed for proper protocol and enforce those processes.
  • Manage the processes related to service, maintenance and repair as related to efficiency,
  • Manage the warranty and return parts program for the location with the Warranty Administrator.
  • Model and require all employees to follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Support departments as backup when needed to support customer needs.
  • Support Sales Department in timely delivery. This would include any add-on needs in addition to items arriving with repair needs.
  • Refer potential sales leads to the Sales Department for customer support.
  • Maintain department records accurately and in proper order per established guidelines and procedure.
  • Communicate with customers professionally and with courtesy.
  • Attend all assigned meetings.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
