Job DetailsJob Location: ALM-Laurel Ms Corps - Laurel, MS 39440Job Category: ChristmasThis position is responsible for: Manages the Angel Tree Program; recruits, trains, coordinates the work of volunteers ensuring sample staff to meet Christmas program needs; prepares records and reports for the Christmas program. Key Responsibilities: Interviews, recruits, screens and selection of volunteers for the Christmas Angel Tree Program. Posts listing of volunteers at Malls to ensure staffing at all times. Maintain names of volunteers at the Christmas Distribution Center in a book to be kept current  at all times.  Call and recruits volunteers if each time slot is not filled, reviewing the previous year’s list of names and numbers.   Find replacement volunteer if a volunteer calls and is unable to report. Maintain the statistics, placement and follow-up for all Angels at all locations. Assists with an Appreciation Program for the Christmas Program employees and Christmas volunteers at the end of the season. Contact Corporate Sponsors on the number of angels they require, preparing materials and angels for delivery. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work may require driving a vehicle where there may be discomforts associated with heavy traffic or changes in weather. Duties are usually performed seated; however, work at the Christmas Distribution Center will require walking, standing, lifting and carrying. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
