Job Summary:

Oversees the nutritional wellbeing of all residents. Assists with planning, organizing, and directing administrative and operational activities for the Food and Nutritional Services department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Registered Dietitian (RD) credential and current licensure in the state of Mississippi

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare-related setting preferred

Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, regulatory standards, and sanitation guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

At least one year of experience in a healthcare-related field.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide dietary services in accordance with facility guidelines and state and federal regulations; Collaborate with facility leadership to develop policies, procedures, and nutrition services training plans; Complete and document nutrition assessments in a timely manner; Develop and update resident nutritional plans; Recommend nutrition approaches based on resident health and preferences; Implement personalized, age-specific, and culturally appropriate nutrition strategies; Ensure menus meet nutritional guidelines and cultural and seasonal needs; Provide education, training, and competency evaluations; Assist with survey preparation and regulatory compliance activities; Participate in quality improvement projects; Evaluate departmental workflows and compliance with sanitation, safety, and infection control requirements; Perform other duties as assigned.
