H2O Innovation provides public works management services & operations assistance for water & wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations, and businesses across North America.


 H2O is currently seeking a Lift Station Technician to join our team in Laurel, Mississippi.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections. 
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair lift station pumps, motors and controls. 
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in pumps and control panels. 
  • Monitor system performance and respond to alarms or emergency calls. 
  • Clean and maintain wet wells, valves, and related equipment. 
  • Keep accurate service logs, reports, and maintenance records
  • Operate hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and power tools safely.
  • Follow safety protocols, including confined space and lockout/tagout procedures. 
  • Assist with other wastewater system repairs as needed. 


The Skills We Are Looking For 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license required. 
  • Experience with pumps, motors, and electrical systems strongly preferred. 
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in confined spaces/outdoor conditions. 
  • Knowledge of wastewater operations or previous utility/maintenance work is a plus. 
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
