Job Summary

Provides emergency and non‑emergency pre‑hospital care across age groups per protocols and MSDH BEMS regulations; documents and maintains equipment readiness.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current NREMT Paramedic (MSDH preferred); EMS Driver licenses as applicable; ACLS/PALS preferred; FEMA ICS courses preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Positive team attitude; strong communication.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality paramedic services and leadership to EMS team.

• Prioritize work; document calls; ensure equipment readiness.

• Communicate with patients, families, first responders, and staff.

Physical Requirements

• Walk and work on varied terrain and in confined spaces.

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull 75–100 lbs with or without assistance (patients/equipment).

• Repeated transfers of patients to stretchers/wheelchairs and loading/unloading equipment.

• Maintain stamina for prolonged standing, kneeling, and awkward postures in emergency situations.

• Rapid fine‑motor control for operation of emergency/diagnostic devices; adequate vision and hearing.
