Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will play a critical role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by developing and implementing personalized therapeutic interventions that promote independence and functional ability. This position focuses on assessing patients with a variety of physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement rehabilitation plans using evidence-based practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Valid and current state licensure
  • Current CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in rehabilitation settings
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities and limitations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting rehabilitation goals
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation and compliance with policies
  • Maintain positive working relationships with facility staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform physical activities required for patient care
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport patients with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Visual, hearing, and communication abilities sufficient for patient care
