McCall Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Substation Maintenance Technician.

Location: Laurens, SC shop and up to 75% travel

As a McCall-Thomas Substation Maintenance Technician, you will be joining a team of dedicated individuals committed to our mission of providing quality solutions and services to each of our clients. The responsibilities for this role include:

Testing of High, Medium, and Low voltage electrical power equipment including but not limited to Circuit Breakers, Regulators, Transformers, and Switchgear
Operating test equipment including but not limited to Power Factor Tester, Ductor, Megger, Hi-Pot, AC/DC volt-ohm-millimeters, and various kinds of hand-held power and non-power tools related to the power industry
Infrared testing
Prepping and painting power equipment

What Will You Need:

High school diploma
Valid driver’s license
Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
2+ years of prior electric utility experience preferred
Ability to travel/work OT as needed
