Scope: The Welder’s primary responsibility is MIG welding of cold rolled steel parts. Each job must run with safety, accuracy and timeliness in the welding area.

Pay: $21.60/per hour
SECOND SHIFT PREMIUM: $0.50 per hour

Shift: 2nd Shift

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am

Job duties:

  • Create quality welds according to blueprints
  • Inspect welds for accuracy
  • Prepare product to be welded by grinding steel parts
  • Change wire, welding as needed
  • Responsible for identifying and moving all finished product to the proper location
  • Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner
  • Operate fork lift
  • Performs first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required
  • Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required
  • Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibility of this position.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have prior MIG welding experience obtained through work and/or school programs
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Must be able to acquire AWS and CWB Certifications
  • Bending, lifting and pushing up to 70 pounds is required
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screenings

Ability to work a ten (10) hour, four (4)-day work week (Monday thru Thursday)

Must be able to work occasional overtime including Friday’s
