- Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve their personal goals, develop life skills, participate in their communities, and maintain their health, safety, and well-being.

Essential Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential, day habilitation, community-based, and other service settings.
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting dignity, choice, and independence.
- Implement Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and support personal goals and skill development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment.
- Accompany and support individuals during community activities, appointments, recreational outings, and social events.
- Administer and document medications in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Complete required documentation, communication logs, billing records, and timesheets accurately and within established timeframes.
- Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and expectations of assigned service locations and organizations.
- Protect the rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of all individuals served.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, families, and other stakeholders.
- Attend required trainings, meetings, and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid US driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to complete electronic documentation.
- Ability to provide physical assistance and support as required.
- Previous experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required.
Employment Requirements
- Successful completion of background checks, fingerprinting, and drug screening.
- Completion and maintenance of required certifications and trainings, including CPR, First Aid, Handle With Care, and College of Direct Support (CDS) coursework.
- Ability to remain alert and awake throughout all scheduled working hours.
- Maintain reliable telephone access for scheduling and emergency communication.
