SUMMARY:
The Senior Electrical Foreman / Site Superintendent is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and oversight for industrial and water/wastewater electrical construction projects. This position leads field operations, supervises electrical crews, ensures safety and quality compliance, coordinates manpower and materials, and drives projects to successful completion on schedule and within budget.
The ideal candidate is a proven electrical leader with extensive experience in industrial facilities, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, process controls, and related infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for an experienced Foreman ready to advance into a Superintendent position or a current Superintendent seeking a leadership opportunity with a growing organization
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician with demonstrated leadership experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, or Superintendent.
- Required experience in Industrial Electrical Construction OR Industrial Water/Wastewater Electrical Construction.
- Candidates with experience in both environments are strongly preferred.
- Experience working in:
- Water Treatment Plants
- Wastewater Treatment Plants
- Pump Stations
- industrial Manufacturing Facilities
- Process Control Environments
- SCADA, PLC, and Instrumentation Systems preferred
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, control drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Experience managing multiple crews, subcontractors, schedules, and project priorities.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic project reporting tools.
- Master Electrician license preferred.
- Ability to work in Indianapolis or Columbus, Indiana

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead and supervise Foremen, Journeyman Electricians, Electricians, and Apprentices across industrial and water/wastewater projects.
- Coordinate daily field activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
- Install and oversee electrical systems in industrial facilities, treatment plants, pump stations, and process environments.
- Interpret and execute project plans, specifications, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Ensure compliance with NEC requirements, local codes, OSHA standards, and company safety policies.
- Conduct daily reports, project updates, manpower forecasts, and look-ahead planning.
- Lead weekly toolbox talks and foster a safety-first culture throughout the project team.
- Manage project staffing, equipment, tools, fleet resources, and material coordination.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control inspections to ensure workmanship meets project requirements.
- Mentor, train, and develop field personnel while supporting employee growth and succession planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, project managers, and inspectors.
- Support project execution from mobilization through commissioning and closeout
