THE ROLE

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive responsible for the organization’s financial health, operational excellence, and administrative infrastructure. This role provides strategic leadership and oversight of finance, budgeting, accounting, human resources, risk management, and compliance. The CFO partners closely with the CEO and Executive Team to ensure the organization’s resources are aligned with its mission, goals, and long-term sustainability.

FINANCIAL LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY

  • Serve as Grandstand’s chief financial strategist, providing leadership on fiscal planning, sustainability, and long-term financial health. 
  • Ensure Grandstand maintains the highest degree of financial integrity and transparency in its administration of accounting principles and practices which are subject to annual audit reviews. 
  • Develop, manage, and monitor annual and multi-year budgets; provide accurate forecasting and financial analysis. 
  • Oversee accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls. 
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the CEO and Executive Team. 
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements. 
  • Lead annual audits and manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial partners. 

ADMINISTRATION 

  • Oversee administrative functions including human resources, payroll, and benefits. 
  • Ensure efficient, scalable systems and processes that support organizational growth and effectiveness. 
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls to strengthen operational integrity and risk management. 
  • Lead organizational planning related to infrastructure, systems, and administrative capacity. 
  • Support leadership development and succession planning across administrative and finance teams. 
  • Governance, Compliance & Risk Management.
  • Serve as a key liaison to the CEO and Executive Team on financial and administrative matters. 
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements. 
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate organizational risks; maintain appropriate insurance coverage and risk management strategies. 

LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATION

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Team, contributing to organizational planning, strategic leadership, and decision-making. 
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance and human resources teams leading to sound business practices and retention of employees. 
  • Promote cross-department collaboration and a service-oriented approach to internal operations. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including special business projects and analyses as requested by the President and CEO. 
  • Remain current on accounting and human resource practices. Recommend new or revied policies and procedures as necessary.

ESSENTIALS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 
    1. Master’s degree (MBA, MPA, or similar) and/or CPA, CFA, or comparable certification preferred.
  • Significant senior-level experience in financial management and organizational administration. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and internal controls. 
  • Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams. 
  • Strong analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Level 2: Light Work
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, change positions, handle (hold, grasp, seize, turn), finger (pinch/pick), balance, stoop (bend at waist), kneel, stairs, and use arm/hand.
  • Ability to frequently sit for long periods of time, reach (extend hands/arm) to push/pull cabinet drawer/door, and crouch (bend legs/spine).
  • Ability to read computer screen, type/enter data in computer, and operate basic office equipment and phones.
  • Ability to lift/lower, carry, push/pull up to 20 pounds.
