Job Title: Client Solutions Project Manager
Job Classification: Full-Time
Reporting Relationship: Client Solutions Project Executive

 

Primary Accountabilities

The Client Solutions Project Manager (PM) at BHS Construction is responsible for the successful execution of multiple small commercial construction projects concurrently, from preconstruction through closeout, maintaining full ownership to ensure safe delivery, schedule adherence, budget control, quality compliance, and strong client satisfaction. Serving as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders, the PM coordinates field operations, subcontractors, procurement, documentation, and financial controls while ensuring alignment with company standards and processes.

 

Major Duties:



Project Management & Accountability

  • Maintain full ownership of assigned projects from award through final closeout.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects including renovations, tenant improvements, service work, fast-track projects, and repeat-client engagements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
  • Monitor job cost reports, track committed costs, and escalate risks or variances as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with approval thresholds for budgets, change orders, subcontracts, and scope deviations.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to the Project Executive.

 

Planning, Procurement & Change Management

  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, assumptions, and risks during project handoff.
  • Establish project setup in accounting and project management systems.
  • Develop milestone-driven schedules and execution plans.
  • Define subcontractor scopes of work and execute subcontracts within delegated authority.
  • Identify and manage long-lead materials and procurement timelines.
  • Identify, price, document, and submit change orders in accordance with contract requirements.

 

Client Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and consultants.
  • Provide consistent project status updates and lead project meetings.
  • Maintain professional, solution-oriented communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Address issues proactively and escalate concerns when appropriate.

 

Field Coordination & Execution Support

  • Coordinate subcontractors, materials, inspections, and site logistics.
  • Communicate regularly with Field Leads to ensure alignment on schedule, quality, and safety.
  • Review progress updates and address obstacles impacting performance.
  • Ensure proper documentation of daily reports, meeting minutes, and project records.

 

Quality & Safety Oversight

  • Ensure all work complies with contract documents, applicable codes, and BHS Construction quality standards.
  • Participate in inspections, punch walks, and deficiency resolution.
  • Promote and enforce OSHA and BHS Construction safety policies.
  • Address safety concerns promptly and ensure subcontractor compliance.

 

Project Closeout

  • Coordinate substantial completion, punch list execution, and final inspections.
  • Resolve outstanding change orders and confirm subcontractor payments.
  • Submit final client billing and complete financial closeout.
  • Collect warranties, manuals, and as-built documentation and deliver final closeout package.
  • Participate in internal lessons learned reviews to support continuous improvement.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
  • 4+ years of construction project management experience, including management of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, cost control, and change orders.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract administration, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday.
  • Frequent use of computer systems and standard office technology.
  • Regular visits to active construction sites requiring navigation of uneven terrain.
  • Ability to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds as necessary.

 

Work Environment

  • Combination of professional office setting and active construction jobsite environments.
  • Routine travel between project sites and client meetings.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring management of multiple concurrent priorities
