SUMMARY 



The Facilities Manager ensures InPwr facilities operate safely, reliably, and without preventable disruption across all assigned locations. This role provides disciplined oversight of building operations, critical systems, preventive and predictive maintenance, capital improvements, vendor performance, and financial stewardship.

 

The Facilities Manager leads with proactive ownership, financial responsibility, and operational clarity to ensure facilities consistently support productivity, compliance, and growth in alignment with the InPwr Way within Build It Better Approach™.


QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES 

  • 5+ years of facilities or building operations management experience.
  • Demonstrated budget management and financial oversight capability.
  • Experience negotiating and managing vendor contracts.
  • Strong organizational discipline and ability to manage multiple sites.
  • Clear communicator with solution-oriented mindset.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and alignment with the InPwr Way.


HIGHLY PREFERRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



Facility Operations & Reliability

  • Oversee daily building operations across multiple sites.
  • Ensure consistent standards for cleanliness, appearance, furniture, signage, common areas, exterior conditions, and general workplace readiness across locations.
  • Ensure HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and security systems remain fully operational and compliant.
  • Manage physical access controls, keys/badges, visitor-access, and coordination of after-hours access as needed.
  • Establish and manage structured preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Maintain inventory of major facility assets, equipment, warranties, replacement schedules and related documentation.
  • Partner with Safety for emergency response plans, utility outages, severe weather, fire/life safety events to ensure business continuity.
  • Respond to emergency repairs with urgency, coordination, and root-cause follow-through.
  • Maintain inspection readiness and regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Track facility performance metrics to reduce reactive work and unplanned downtime.



Financial Stewardship & Vendor Management

  • Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Monitor expenses, forecast future facility costs, and maintain budget discipline.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and procurement activities.
  • Evaluate vendor performance against scope, cost, and service standards.
  • Lead bid processes for major services and capital initiatives.



Capital Projects, Renovations & Space Planning

  • Lead planning and execution of renovations, upgrades, expansions, and office relocations.
  • Coordinate contractors, schedules, permitting, and inspections.
  • Align space utilization with operational efficiency and company growth.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and with minimal operational disruption.
  • Ensure proper documentation and transition into maintenance programs.
  • Coordination on any leased property regarding obligations, repairs, building improvements and costs.



Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop facilities personnel with clear expectations and accountability.
  • Implement SOPs and maintenance standards that drive consistency.
  • Conduct performance reviews aligned with InPwr expectations.
  • Promote a safety-first culture and continuous improvement mindset.



Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Facilities and other departments or divisions.
  • Own the coordination of employee/department moves, workstation changes, furniture installation, storage, and facility need.
  • Coordinate and support company events, meetings, training sessions, employee gatherings, and other activities requiring facility involvement, including temporary space modifications, furniture or equipment moves, electrical or technology needs, signage, access/security changes, parking, vendor coordination, and post-event restoration.
  • Maintain visibility into upcoming facility-impacting events and proactively identify required accommodations, operational impacts, safety considerations, costs, and resource needs.
  • Provide clear reporting on facility conditions, capital planning, and risk exposure.
  • Proactively communicate timelines, operational impacts, risks, resource requirements, and cost considerations.
  • Support new site launches and operational expansion initiatives.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to walk facilities, job sites, and mechanical spaces regularly.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
  • Ability to access rooftops, ladders, and confined mechanical areas when necessary.
  • Availability to respond to urgent facility matters outside standard business hours.
  • Ability to travel between multiple facility locations.
