Job Summary: The Clinical Manager is a registered professional nurse who ensures quality of patient care in the home. Primary function is for the overall administration of the clinical departments and monitoring of appropriate staffing and productivity. Coordinates care with the Interdisciplinary Group/Team, patient, family and referring agency. Monitors and analyzes QAPI issues and directs clinical staff with regard to the Hospice policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
  • Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or in accordance with the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for
  • Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • Current Driver's License.
  • CPR certification.
  • Must read, write and comprehend English.
  • Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of hospice or home care experience. Experience in hospice and management preferred.
  • Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrates proven decision-making skills.

Environmental and Working Conditions:

  • Performs duties in an office environment during the Hospice operating hours.
  • If required to make patient visits, may work in patients' homes in various conditions;
  • Possible exposure to blood and bodily fluids and to infectious diseases;
  • ability to work flexible schedule;
  • ability to travel locally;
  • some exposure to unpleasant weather;
  • PRN emergency calls.
  • Must be available at all times either in person or via telecommunications.

 

Visiting Nurses requires a criminal background check and motor vehicle (MVR) check for all employees once a conditional offer of employment has been extended by the hiring manager.
