Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, performs the duties of the scrub person to meet the surgical needs of the patient in the perioperative setting. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Qualifications

Education, Credentials, Licenses

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technician program.

• Proof of certification within one year of hire date.

Specialized Knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures, instruments, sutures, and equipment for surgical procedures.

Kind and Length of Experience

Graduate of accredited surgical technician program.
