The Inventory Specialist supports the iMedical team by ensuring accurate inventory management and timely product availability to meet customer needs. This role is responsible for maintaining control of inventory purchased from vendors and acquired from customers, verifying incoming shipments, and ensuring all inventory transactions are accurately recorded. Working in accordance with established company procedures, the Inventory Specialist manages daily inventory control activities, including receiving, tracking, storing, and reconciling equipment and supplies within the company's electronic inventory management system. The position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting operational efficiency, and ensuring accountability for all inventory assets. - Manage and maintain inventory dashboards and operational workflows within ERP software.
- Review sales orders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper product configuration, including verification of mattress requirements for bed and stretcher orders.
- Validate order details, pricing, and financial terms to ensure accuracy prior to fulfillment.
- Create and process shipments for open orders and newly available back-ordered items.
- Coordinate inventory allocation and parts fulfillment for non-standard and out-of-cycle requests.
- Maintain accurate order scheduling by updating expected and scheduled ship dates.
- Ensure all sales orders contain the appropriate order classifications and required system data.
- Monitor back-ordered items and proactively coordinate with internal teams to resolve shortages and expedite fulfillment.
- Support the quoting process by verifying inventory availability and assessing the feasibility of sourcing non-stocked items.
- Manage parts return activities, including customer communications, return authorizations, and required third-party platform transactions.
- Provide backup support for shipping, receiving, fulfillment, and purchasing receipt functions as needed.
- Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counts, inventory audits, discrepancy resolution, and warehouse location management.
- Create and maintain production kits and associated work orders.
- Manage material requests for production work orders, including material allocation and work order updates.
- Reconcile material consumption and inventory transactions for completed work orders.
- Enter and maintain service order information, including equipment records, service requests, parts requirements, and customer estimates.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with established company procedures.
