SUMMARY:
The Lead Systems Engineer is primarily responsible for Infrastructure Design, providing Engineered Infrastructure Solutions to Business and technical problems, providing leadership with systems support for Active Directory, Citrix XenApp Farm, Technology Endpoints, Network, Azure Datacenter, and provide final level of support escalation from the Help Desk. This position will also recommend, define, standardize, document, test and implement new software and hardware based on requirements from the business. The Lead Systems Engineer will also document, monitor, and report on systems issues and lead appropriate IT staff and end-users to reproduce issues and resolve them.Â
MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recommend, Define, and Document Standard System components that support the business systems.
- Meet with vendors with IT management / Architects in reviewing new technology providing Advanced technical insight in theory, and Baselined Infrastructure.Â
- Provide Advanced Understanding of the entire Infrastructure Architecture.
- Documents, monitors, reports, and manage the resolution of systemic issues.
- Provides Advanced technical support to end users when cases are escalated from junior engineers and technical support professionals. Â
- Recommend, Define, and Document Data Network configuration of the Meraki Network components.  Advanced technical understanding of the Meraki Cloud Architecture.Â
- Performs Advanced technical engineering for Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Terminal Services, Active Directory, Citrix XenApp, and Anti-Virus administration & Support
- Supports the Windows Server 2016/2019, 2022 operating systems.
- Defines the Configuration and supports all services in a Windows 2012/2016/2019/2022 environment including Print, DNS and DHCP services.
- Defines configuration of Active Directory, Lync, SharePoint, and
- Exchange Server. Provides Advanced administration as required.
- Reviews and Defines Installations, configurations, and updates to server software and supporting components.
- Actively participates in the identification of new user needs or program enhancements.
- Writes, reviews and/or maintains technical documentation for product environments as assigned
- Accountable for changes to the Windows Operating System to improve performance and reliability
- Manages 3rd party vendors to complete projects or troubleshoot issues
- Reports weekly status on projects
- Attends weekly staff meetings
- Manages Company risk relative to position
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or comparable education/training
- Ability to demonstrate strong Communication and Presentation skills
- 5+ years of experience with recent versions of Citrix XenApp
- 5+ years of experience with Active Directory support, DNS, DHCP and print services
- 5+ years of experience creating, managing, and deploying Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and associated custom GPO templates for the virtual environment and Roaming profiles
- Experience in Microsoft messaging platform (Exchange, Lync) and SharePoint support
- Advanced Adaptability to fast changing environment.
- Experience with Networking Technology (Cisco, Meraki, Juniper, F5, etc.)
- Independent Analytical Thinking. Breaking down large complex problems into smaller components and addressing each component as a method to resolution to the larger problem.Â
- Approaches technology architecture and engineering by collecting and analyzing data from technical trends and best practices. Â
- Advanced experience in installing, testing, evaluating and integrating various applications and 3rd party solutions into the virtual architecture
- Extensive experience resolving network and/or system issues
- Ability to lead a team on specific engineering projects and tasks. Â
- Must be able to reach across groups in spirit of teamwork to gain cooperation in delivery of engineering projects and tasks.
- Advanced Attention to detail.  Must be able to organize tasks, define responsibilities, and assign priorities to insure a timely technical delivery. Â
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in Financial/Banking industry
- Knowledge of enterprise single sign-on solution
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms including VMWare
- Experience in Office 365 roll-out and support
- Windows 2008/2012 and SQL 2008 clustering
COMPENSATION:
- The salary range for this position is competitive based on the job duties as well as the specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience of the selected candidate.
- This position is eligible for Semi Annual Incentive compensation based on individual and company performance guidelines.

- Travel by car and air required
- Travel frequency up to 10%
