As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for handling our Annual Maintenance Club Tune Ups. Our team will train you on everything you need to know to thrive in your very own market. No previous experience with garage doors required, we got you!Â

The Job:Â Â
Handling our Annual Maintenance Club Tune UpsÂ
Complete garage door Inspections, following a check listÂ
Handling call back visits when we don’t get it right the first timeÂ
Focus on turning negative experiences into positive experiencesÂ
Educate customer on their door and findings from the inspectionÂ
Receiving POs for the warehouse and updating inventory with the exact countsÂ
Assisting the Area Manager or Market Lead with load outs for techs and installersÂ
Maintaining physical counts in warehouse and updating InventoryÂ

Basic Requirements:Â Â
Be nice! I know, we shouldn’t have to say that, but we mean it. Â
Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periodsÂ
Physically able to lift 50lbsÂ
Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving recordÂ
Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug test (not including THC) and criminal background checkÂ
Knowledge of basic software such as navigation apps, Google etc as well as tablet and computer useÂ
Basic knowledge of hand tools Â
GED or HS diploma not required, however reading skills as well as basic math skills (measurements, payments) are required. Â
Professional appearanceÂ
Employment requires current eligibility to legally work in the United StatesÂ

The Journey of a Maintenance Technician:Â Â
Our apprenticeship is a 4 week training program at the A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ. Â
A1 covers flights and accommodations for the duration of your training in Phoenix. (You will typically work 45-50 hours a week while an apprentice and qualify for overtime for hours over 40 in a week.)
Once you complete training, you will receive a one thousand dollar bonus, and graduate to a junior maintenance technician. You will perform your duties in and around your market. Boom!  Â

Interview Process:  Â
Our interview process is not long, but it’s thorough. We want to make sure that each person who joins the team is the right fit for A1. And that we are the right fit for you! Â
Â
After we review your application, you will be contacted for an interview with a recruiter if we want to know more. Plan on up to 30 minutes. Â
Next step is an interview with the Area manager. Plan on approximately 60 minutes. Â
Next step is when the fun begins: you will be invited to ride along with one of our technicians so you can see what life at A1 is really like. Plan on a full day. Â
