About the Role:
Lawson Law Firm PC is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our boutique personal injury practice in Lawrenceville, GA. The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience working as a personal injury paralegal. The candidate must be a self-starter who is highly motivated, reliable, seeking stability and career growth, friendly and personable with clients, and trustworthy. The candidate must be able to manage all aspects of a personal injury case from intake to closure, provide detailed reports to management, be organized, and possess great knowledge of our cases. Candidate must be a team player.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and document drafting
- Organize and maintain case files, legal documents, and client records
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents under attorney supervision
- Coordinate and schedule client meetings, depositions, and court appearances
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar platforms
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- File documents with courts electronically and in person as needed
- Oversee and organize the medical treatment, including records and bills for clients
- Be proficient in Filevine or have experience in a similar personal injury case management system
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field preferred
- Prior internship or experience in a law firm or legal setting is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Familiarity with legal research tools and court filing procedures is a plus
- Professional demeanor with a client-focused attitude
