Responsibilities

Facilitates all transport requests for discharged patients requiring transport to home or patients being transferred to another healthcare facility. Prioritizes all (emergent, urgent, routine) requests for transport, oversees safe and efficient transition between facilities and maintains record of all transports. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
  • One (1) year of experience coordinating patient transport operations.
  • Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification or complete hospital provided certification within 6 months of hire.
  • PREFERRED

     

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Prior involvement in hospital/medical transfer processes.
  • Computer skills to include Midas or similar computer application.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Emergency Medical Services, OR Respiratory Care Program, OR School of Nursing, OR a minimum 5 years of experience in Emergency Services, Critical Care area or EMS transport.
