Job Title: Material Puller

Position Summary:

The Material Puller is responsible for safely operating a forklift to pull, move, and stage materials for shipment. This role ensures all products are accurately scanned, handled with care, and prepared according to shipping schedules and quality standards. The Material Puller plays a key role in supporting efficient warehouse operations and on‑time deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow all plant safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Pull materials from designated storage locations based on pick lists using a combination of manual lifting and operating powered industrial vehicles.
  • Stage product in the correct areas to allow for packaging coordination.
  • Accurately scan all materials using warehouse scanning system to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and report discrepancies, damaged product, or documentation errors.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the logistics team to meet daily operational and delivery goals.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of packaging and staging areas (5S standards).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience as a forklift operator.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Experience in warehouse, shipping, or packaging environment preferred.
  • Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate label printers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • This role is a physically demanding role. May be exposed to bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, and working at a fast pace.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
