Job Description

Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center (JTCMHC) is currently recruiting for a Behavioral Health Case Manager to join our Inpatient Department team. This position will be instrumental in assisting individuals who are experiencing a crisis and in need of support as they regain control of their lives and recovery processes.

The Behavioral Health Case Manager will work closely with consumers and the multidisciplinary team to provide essential case management services, ensuring individuals receive the necessary support during their crisis and recovery journey. The ideal candidate must possess a strong commitment to professionalism, ethics, and effective communication while interacting with ODMHSAS staff and consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crisis Intervention: Work with individuals in crisis to provide immediate support, helping them regain stability and begin the recovery process.
  • Case Management: Perform a wide range of tasks related to case management, including assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up support.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members and community resources to ensure clients have access to comprehensive care and services.
  • Support and Guidance: Assist individuals of all ages in navigating their mental health and recovery journey, helping them achieve their personal recovery goals.
  • Professionalism and Ethics: Maintain a high level of professionalism, adhering to ethical standards in all interactions with clients and staff.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience: 

  • A high school degree or equivalent, from a regionally accredited institution recognized by the United States Department of Education, and a total of 6 months of direct, documented experience working with persons who live with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues.
