Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist in support of the Lawton Indian Hospital to provide speech therapy services. This position is full-time, 40-hour week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

  

  • Assess and diagnose: Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify disorders such as articulation problems, aphasia, stuttering, and swallowing difficulties (dysphagia).
  • Develop treatment plans: Create and carry out personalized therapy plans with specific, measurable goals to address individual functional needs.
  • Provide therapy: Teach clients how to make sounds, improve voice quality, maintain fluency, and develop communication strategies. This includes using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for those with severe challenges.
  • Educate and support: Teach patients and their families about their condition and provide counseling, training, and support.
  • Collaborate: Work with other professionals, such as physicians, teachers, and other therapists, to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach.
  • Maintain records: Keep detailed, accurate records of patient progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information. Records shall be completed within 24 hours of patient visit.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  

  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology from a program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
  • Completed a clinical fellowship.
  • Passed the Praxis exam
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) certification.
