Out of the Woods Custom Cabinetry in Layton, Utah is looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative who knows how to build relationships, manage a pipeline, and turn opportunities into profitable projects-specifically in countertops, cabinetry, and related construction work.

This role owns the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, estimating, follow-up, handoff to production, and post-project walkthroughs. If you're organized, accountable, and comfortable being the face of the company with contractors and customers, you'll do well here.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Proactively solicit, secure, and grow new business, with a focus on countertops and related projects.
  • Set and hit realistic personal sales goals while maintaining a healthy pipeline flowing into the shop.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates using company systems (Cabinet Vision or similar) and communicate them clearly to customers.
  • Follow up on all bids-won or lost-to build repeat and referral business.
  • Guide customers through the full project lifecycle: revisions, selections, drawings, cut lists, approvals, and final documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with the Schedule Coordinator and Shop Manager to ensure smooth transitions from sale to production and install.
  • Conduct post-project and final walk-throughs, addressing quality or accuracy issues promptly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and contractors-responsive, professional, and solutions-focused.
  • Maintain clean, accurate records in the CRM and submit required reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Support credit, deposits, and collections as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for new products, services, and revenue growth.
  • Represent Out of the Woods professionally-on job sites, in showrooms, and at industry events.
What We're Looking For:
 
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's preferred.
  • 1–2 years of outside sales experience required; 3–5 years preferred in cabinetry, countertops, granite, or construction.
  • Experience with estimating software and reading technical drawings strongly preferred.
Skills That Matter
  • Proven ability to close deals and manage a sales pipeline.
  • Strong estimating accuracy with an eye on profitability.
  • Confident communicator-written, verbal, and face-to-face.
  • Organized, self-directed, and comfortable juggling multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites.
