This role is ideal for someone with retail or specialty food leadership experience who enjoys leading a team and creating memorable food-focused experiences for guests. You should love food, thrive on guest interaction and team building, and be comfortable being on your feet for your entire shift while meeting all physical requirements in the job description. This is a highly active, guest-engaging position with little to no office work.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with the Captain to grow and maximize sales results and create a new standard of World Class Service within the shop.
  • Always be on the floor unless assisting a guest with products or directed otherwise by Captain or Coach.
  • Greet guests, engage them in conversation and listen for opportunities to answer their questions and offer product suggestions.
  • Monitor team member engagement with guests and assist the Captain in training and ensuring our retail team delivers World Class Service to all guests.
  • Understand product knowledge, recipes, and be comfortable with making product recommendations.
  • Be aware of the lines at the register and be prepared to help at registers when necessary.
  • Assist with team scheduling and development conversations as necessary.
  • Ensure product displays are attractive and maintained efficiently.
  • Offer guests baskets and assist them with product knowledge during their buying experience.
  • Oversee the cleanliness of the shop by ensuring team members are following cleaning lists and rotating displays as well as completing cleaning/organizing projects during slow periods.
  • Assist with all retail store physical inventory counting, adjusting, and discrepancy correction.
  • Be able to open and/or close the retail store as needed.
  • Be proficient in the POS System and be capable of covering every position in the shop.
  • Be Serve-Safe Certified.
