The Federal Work Study (FWS) program is intended to provide a meaningful job experience, with direct supervision, that complements and reinforces the recipient’s educational program and/or career goals. Outcomes from the Federal Work Study program include:

POSITION: Federal Work Study - Fitness Center

DEPARTMENT: Fitness Center

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet all Fitness Center guests
Monitor all activities within the Fitness Center
Clean and maintain fitness center equipment
Ensure fitness center space remains organized and equipment is in its proper place
Enforce all fitness center policies in a consistent manner
Provide assistance to all users in a safe and helpful manner on basic use of equipment and interpretation of Fitness Center policies
Report all maintenance issues to Supervisor
Respond to emergency situations per Fitness Center protocol
Immediately notify Supervisor of any accident or emergency situation
Complete the Federal Work Study orientation.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study and enrolled full-time at the University of Saint Mary
Must be responsible and dependable.
Effective and positive interpersonal skills.
CPR/AED Certified, preferred
