The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We provide high-quality care to all individuals, regardless of their financial circumstances. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a Transportation Coordinator to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team.  The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and coordinating driver schedules and routes for ModivCare and The Guidance Center (TGC) programs and groups. Responsibilities include planning routes, making trip assignments to drivers, filling out schedules, assigning vehicle maintenance tasks or other duties in between trips, and keeping track of daily paperwork. Coordinate with group leaders and other relevant staff for any scheduling changes. The transportation coordinator will also provide transportation services as needed.

Primary Duties: 

1. Schedule door-to-door transportation of clients residing in Atchison, Jefferson, and Leavenworth Counties to and from Center treatment activities, occurring on weekdays and evenings. 

2. Transport CSS/CBS clients for resource acquisition (obtaining groceries, medical appointments,etc.) as requested by CSS/CBS Directors, Program M anagers, or Coordinators. 

3. Assure transport of CSS/CBS clients to and from other treatment facilities/agencies consistent with their treatment plan based on driver availability. 

4. Assure the transport of adults/youth participating in Psychosocial Programs as scheduled. 

5. Responsible to handle all driver and related documentation for ModivCare Program, to include but not limited to acquiring and uploading documents into the program integrity system. 

6. Assure the provision of response and support to clients and caregivers when emergencies occur and immediately notify appropriate staff for coordinated response. 

7. Adapt to changing work priorities and a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism 

8. Understand and endorse TGC mission and vision statements. 

9. Maintain effective and cooperative working relationship with TGC staff as well as external customers and referral sources 

10. Participate in trainings as directed. 


Requirements

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

Required: High School diploma or GED


EXPERIENCE:

Required: minimum of two years experience driving a 16-passenger vehicle or larger. Management experience and/or experience with developing transportation routes. Must have experience with technology to include cell phones, tablets, accessing websites, scanning, and uploading documents, Microsoft Office Suite.


Preferred: mechanical knowledge and skills.
