The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a Van Driver – Ride LV to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. This position will be responsible for providing scheduled and on-demand public transportation within the Leavenworth and Lansing city limits.Â

- Competitive hourly rate of $17.81 to $20.21, depending upon qualifications. Â
Primary Duties:Â
- Transport clients and general public for resource acquisition (obtaining groceries, medical appointments, etc.) as directed by Dispatcher and/or Transportation CoordinatorÂ
- Provide wheelchair procurement/safety/sensitivity for any non-ambulatory passengersÂ
- Maintain daily records of transportation service provided as required, i.e., number served, miles driven, time required, gallons of gasoline usedÂ
- Maintain the vans by monitoring all needed service and repairs (cleaning, oil changes, tires, brakes, belts, etc.), then arrange for the service needed as directed by the supervisor.Â
- Perform additional tasks/responsibilities as assignedÂ
- Adapt to changing work priorities and a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalismÂ
- Maintain effective and cooperative working relationship with TGC staff as well as external customers and referral sourcesÂ
- Participate in training as directed by the immediate supervisor or TGC management staff.Â
- Meet HIPAA standards for confidentiality of medical recordsÂ
- Comply with TGC’s Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, rules, regulations, and standards of conduct relating to the Corporate Compliance Policy.  The employee understands that he/she has a duty and obligation to report any suspected violations of the Corporate Compliance Policy to the Corporate Compliance Officer or the Chief Executive Officer.Â
QUALIFICATIONS:Â
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:Â
Required: High School diploma or GED, and valid Driver’s LicenseÂ
Preferred: Class B CDLÂ
EXPERIENCE:Â
Required:Â One year of experience delivering high-quality passenger service within the transportation industryÂ
