What You'll Do - You'll Make the Moment

  • Review and approval of capital spend request forms, invoices, and various requests from others.
  • Oversee research of assets to be disposed when replaced or otherwise removed from service.
  • Ensure the appropriate depreciation method and life is used for each asset and that depreciation is calculated and posted to the general ledger with accuracy and completeness, in a timely manner.
  • Prepare manual adjustments to system-calculated depreciation and gain\loss, as needed.
  • Prepare monthly reporting related to PP&E, gain\loss, and impairment reserves for use by Management for decision-making and financial reporting.
  • Ensure general ledger is reconciled timely and completely and ties to the Fixed Assets system.
  • Assist with preparation of annual plans and quarterly projections.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years professional experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fixed Assets accounting experience strongly preferred.

Certifications:

  • CPA or candidate.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Supervisory skills.
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
