2nd Shift Production Supervisor

 

Pay Rate:

$69,500- $92,600

 

Category/Shift:

Salaried Full-Time

Monday – Friday   3p-11p (Shift Change 2:30p-11:30p)

occasional non- regular scheduled shift hours for vacation coverage and meetings

The Job You Will Perform: 

  • Responsible for supporting and fostering the safety culture, safety first mindset.
  • Assess facility goals and expectations against performance standards and develop corrective action plans to close gaps.
  • Manage leading indicator efforts including safe work observation process, 5S, hazard recognition and controls.
  • Hold employees accountable prior to incident, and if an incident occurs for failure to follow safety policies.
  • Supervise employees in the daily production, to include hands-on training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Evaluate employee performance; reward and discipline employees; promote safety, quality production and teamwork; and resolve conflicts.
  • Lead and motivate employees by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels: hourly employees, other supervisors, plant management, office personnel, and outside customers and vendors.
  • Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and other programs and initiatives utilized within the organization.
  • Work with minimum supervision, delegate, and evaluate challenges to seek out support when needed.
  • Maintain necessary documentation, reports, and time approvals for direct reports.
  • Perform random inspections of all quality and safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify the gaps that need to be addressed to ensure our systems are effective.
  • Ensure employees complete appropriate paperwork to include all downtime, runtime and setup times, documentation for production and quality purposes.
  • Audit reporting systems to ensure the employees have correct data entered for any analysis that may be performed for production and waste accountability.
  • Monitor raw materials to ensure the proper raw materials are being used per customer specs, if a substitution is required, complete approval documentation before converting specs.
  • Physical requirements include continuously seeing, standing, walking, talking, hearing/listening, and frequently lifting up to 50lbs.    
  • Any other duties assigned by the leadership team.

 

The Skills You Will Bring: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Packaging or printing industry experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory and training experience.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
