RESPONSIBILITIES:
Associates to perform all safety checks at the start of their shift on all cranes and tools and document this as necessary.  Continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift.  

•    Painting of all manufactured products. 
•    Apply coatings to assembled products.
•    Proper usage and maintenance of respiratory equipment. 
•    Safe and proper sealing of storage of unused coatings.
•    Cleaning of painting equipment with proper disposal of material(s) used in the cleaning process.
•    Replenishing of paint in pressure pots.
•    Verification of adequate coverage of coating on finished products.
•    Proper completion of applicable paperwork of painting.
•    Operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts as needed.  Also successfully complete any training, safety program relating to the operation of the equipment. 
•    Ability to read and interpret blueprints and finishing specifications as they relate to finishing products. 
•    Paint verification form to be completed as necessary. 
•    Work with the supervisor/foreman and EHS to ensure all safety and environmental regulations are followed. 
•    Knowledge of (M)SDS sheets. 
•    Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations. 
•    Preforms housekeeping and other related duties that are assigned.

Common job responsibilities for hazardous waste personnel include:  
•    Identify or count hazardous waste
•    Choose hazardous waste containers
•    Mark or label containers
•    Handle or move waste or waste containers
•    Inspect containers
•    Operate a waste-generating process  
•    Manage waste in satellite areas
•    Read and apply Federal or state hazardous waste regulations

 

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
•    Forklift trained and certified 
•    Paint spray guns and related hardware
•    Respirator and other personal safety equipment
•    Pressure pots/Agitator mechanisms
•    Mill thickness gauge

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
•    Must have some knowledge with painting 
•    Ability to work will in a fast paced environment to meet team expectations.
•    Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.  
•    Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job. 
•    Must have a basic understanding of computers.
•    Must have reading, writing and simple math skills. 
•    Must be able to read blue prints. 
•    Must have either a High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment.

o    Work 100% of the time in a manufacturing setting; standing, sitting, kneeling, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching.
o    Majority of work activities performed indoors in an area with temperature variations, noise, dust, and fumes.

o    Occasional work activity is performed outdoors.
