What You’ll Do
As a Mechanical Systems Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems, assemblies, and products. Working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Project Management, Sales, Service, and customers, you’ll transform business and customer requirements into reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, and components utilizing 3D CAD softwareÂ
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentationÂ
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate designs and support engineering decisionsÂ
- Conduct DFMEA, risk assessments, root cause analyses, and safety evaluationsÂ
- Develop and evaluate concepts for manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, and cost effectivenessÂ
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, engineering requirements, safety regulations, and customer specificationsÂ
- Support project schedules, engineering milestones, and deliverable completionÂ
- Maintain engineering documentation, revision control, and design recordsÂ
- Provide technical support to internal teams, suppliers, and customersÂ
- Support prototype development, testing, and product validation activitiesÂ
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams on product launches, production improvements, and engineering changesÂ
- Participate in design reviews, validation activities, and risk assessmentsÂ
- Support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)Â
- Work with suppliers regarding component selection, technical requirements, and design reviewsÂ
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA), structural evaluations, and engineering simulations as requiredÂ
- Support value engineering, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiativesÂ
- Assist with troubleshooting field issues and customer technical concernsÂ
- Support installation, startup, and commissioning activities as needed

What We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking an innovative and detail-oriented engineer with strong mechanical design experience, excellent analytical abilities, and a passion for developing world-class engineered products.Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering disciplineÂ
- Minimum three (3) years of mechanical design engineering experienceÂ
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalentÂ
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&TÂ
- Experience performing engineering calculations, design validation, and engineering analysisÂ
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilitiesÂ
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detailÂ
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringÂ
- Experience with motion control systems, automation equipment, industrial machinery, or capital equipmentÂ
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, structural analysis, and machine designÂ
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systemsÂ
- Experience supporting manufacturing and production environmentsÂ
- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experienceÂ
Your Work Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt position working Monday through Friday. Occasional travel to customer sites, supplier facilities, and manufacturing locations may be required to support projects, technical reviews, installations, and commissioning activities.
