Genesis Health Care Center is looking for a Dietary Cook!

***Part-time days and a Full-time Evenings position available.***

Our organization is family owned and proud to carry on a legacy of caring for people. We provide a safe and pleasant home for adults with mental illness, and we strive to go beyond the norm to provide a better quality of life for our residents! Your job will be to ensure that kitchen duties are completed on the weekend shift in accordance with our company’s policies and regulatory guidelines. You must be self-motivated and energetic.  

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare meals and snacks according to the menu using standardized recipes.
  • Serve residents in a timely and polite manner following safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Store food properly, clean equipment, kitchen and dining area using safety and infection control procedures.
  • Proper use of equipment, supplies, and dietary goods.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment by following safety practices within the center and immediately reporting any safety concerns or issues to the Facility Administrator.


Participate in staff development, attend in-service training and maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation and teamwork with co-workers, supervisors, residents and visitors according to the organization’s policies and procedures and code of ethics.
