Countryside YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic Water Fitness Instructor to bring energy, encouragement, and safe movement to our aquatics programs. Why You’ll Love This Role Lead engaging water fitness classes that support healthy living and healthy aging Work with participants of all fitness levels Be part of a mission-driven organization that puts people first Enjoy a flexible, part-time schedule in a supportive team environment Make a real difference—one splash at a time  What You’ll Do Create and teach safe, energizing water fitness classes Demonstrate exercises and use equipment appropriately for varying abilities Keep participants moving, motivated, and having fun Maintain constant awareness of participant safety Develop lesson plans and adapt workouts as needed Follow all YMCA policies, pool rules, and safety procedures Communicate schedule changes and coverage needs using GroupEx Pro QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For Must be 18 years or older High school diploma or equivalent Previous water fitness or group exercise instruction experience preferred Ability to pass a criminal background check Friendly, reliable, and punctual with a passion for helping others succeed Certifications & Training Current CPR with Oxygen and First Aid certifications required Willingness to complete additional training or certifications as needed (such as National Water Fitness Instructor Certification) Physical & Work Requirements Ability to demonstrate exercises on the pool deck Proficient swimming and basic rescue skills Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with pool rescues if needed Comfortable working in a pool environment with humidity and varying noise levels  Our Mission At Countryside YMCA, we put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
