POSITION SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse and distribution operations at the Lee's Summit facility, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of materials from production through customer shipment.

The role provides strategic and operational leadership for receiving, inventory management, warehousing, picking, shipping, transportation coordination, and SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) execution. The Warehouse Manager develops supervisors and warehouse teams while driving operational excellence across safety, service, inventory accuracy, productivity, and continuous improvement.

As a key member of the Operations Leadership Team, this role partners closely with Customer Service, Planning, Manufacturing, Transportation, Procurement, and Quality to ensure customer commitments are met while continuously improving warehouse performance.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:

1. Safety, Compliance & Food Safety
- Build and maintain a zero-incident safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HACCP, GMP, company safety policies and food safety requirements.
- Lead serious incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Ensure supervisors consistently execute daily safety expectations.
- Champion 5S and visual workplace standards.

2. Operational Leadership
Provide overall leadership for:
- Receiving
- Finished Goods Warehouse
- Raw Material Warehouse
- Shipping
- Inventory Control
- Material Flow

- SAP Warehouse Operations
Ensure all warehouse activities support production requirements and customer delivery expectations.
Own warehouse performance through daily operational reviews and KPI management.

3. Customer Service & Order Fulfillment
Own warehouse execution of customer shipments by ensuring:
- Orders are picked on time
- Trucks depart as scheduled
- Priority orders are executed quickly
- Customer escalations receive immediate attention
- Cross-functional recovery plans are developed during shortages
Partner daily with:
- Customer Service
- Planning
- Transportation
- Manufacturing
to maximize OTIF performance.

4. SAP Warehouse Excellence
Serve as the warehouse business owner for SAP EWM execution.
Responsible for:
- Warehouse transaction accuracy
- Scanning discipline
- Inventory integrity
- Bin accuracy
- Warehouse Monitor utilization
- System compliance
- Process standardization
Lead continuous improvement of SAP warehouse processes.
Develop warehouse super users and ensure consistent adherence to standard work.

Own inventory integrity throughout the warehouse.

- Cycle Count Program
- Root Cause Analysis

6. Transportation & Shipping
Partner with Transportation to optimize:
- Load planning
- Trailer utilization
- Shipping schedules

Ensure warehouse readiness supports transportation efficiency.

7. Labour Planning
Develop labour strategies that align staffing with customer demand.
Responsible for:
- Staffing plans
- Overtime management
- Temporary labour

- Productivity improvement
Monitor labour cost and productivity daily.

8. Leadership & People Development
Lead Warehouse Supervisors and Inventory personnel.
Responsibilities include:

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or related field preferred.
Experience
- 8–10 years of warehouse leadership in manufacturing
- Minimum 5 years managing supervisors
- Experience leading warehouses exceeding 75 employees preferred
- High-volume manufacturing experience required
- Food packaging or plastics experience preferred
- Multi-shift operation experience required
