Psychologist - Health Psychologist– Psychosocial Oncology Specialty

The Division of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Kansas Health System is seeking applicants for a Health Psychologist – Psychosocial Oncology Specialty to serve individuals on our interdisciplinary Onco-Psychology team in Oncology and Psychiatry.  This person will join the current health psychologists in our 27-member Psychology Division.

About the Position:

  • Provide assessment, treatment, psychoeducation, and triage to outpatients with cancer and their caregivers at our NCI-Designated Cancer Center.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team-based care within the Center.
  • Participate in the professional education of psychology interns and fellow in our APA accredited programs, as well as practicum students, medical fellows, residents, and students.
  • Collaborate with other faculty in scholarly activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited doctoral program (with an APA approved clinical internship)
  • One-year relevant post-doctoral experience in psychosocial oncology or health psychology
  • Must be fully licensed or licensable in the State of Kansas (primary) and Missouri by the time of the appointment
