Job DetailsJob Location: Lees Summit Office LPO - Lees Summit, MO 64064Position Type: Full TimePRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB Manage SBA and commercial credit relationships. Create and maintain close relationships with all parties involved in loan transactions while facilitating sales through the structuring of creative and appealing loan products. The Southern Bank Patch illustrates these ideals. Ensures the confidentiality of customer non-public personal information and secures information systems to comply with bank regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE AREAS Source and develop new business relationships; Manage SBA and commercial lending relationships; Analyze new loan requests; Structure loan requests to ensure compliance with SBA guidelines, while meeting client needs; Oversee and, as required, manage the collection and legal actions for various loan relationships in concert with the Special Assets Administrator, Chief Lending Officer, Regional President, Market President, and Community Bank President; Participate in various bank loan committees as designated; Assist with supporting the Compliance and BSA programs of the Bank; Complete required training as assigned; Active in Community events of branches which may include assisting in planning and execution; Make recommendations to management regarding product improvement or changes; Mentor branch staff promoting an atmosphere of coaching and learning; and, Refer depository and other business lines from customer base to the Branch Retail Manager. This position may be asked to provide support, guidance and oversight to other Loan Coordinators or Lenders within their market. These additional duties will be specific to the individual, not just the position. The Market President can select the team member to fulfill these additional duties but will require the Chief Lending Officer or Regional President’s approval. The Market President should review the candidate’s abilities to lead, overall performance, and employment with Southern Bank.  QualificationsThe following specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum education and experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent sales, organizational, managerial and interpersonal skills; Knowledge of SBA SOP requirements and procedures preferred; Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; Highly attentive to detail and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; and, Excellent oral and written communication skills. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in business or finance. (Sales/loan experience may be considered in lieu thereof.); and, Two to five years’ experience with lending or commensurate experience.
