Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician 2 to join our team in the Observation Unit. This role will be full-time night shift, 7pm - 7.30am. Days vary. Candidates Must be able to work any weekday when scheduled, rotating weekends. Candidates must be able to attend a paid 6-week training period at start of role, with initial Monday-Friday.

Clinical Technician 2 Job Responsibilities:

Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse
Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally.
Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.
Assumes responsibility for self-development in life long learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.
May perform additional duties as assigned.


Shift: nights (7pm – 7:30am)
Schedule: Three 12 hour shifts per week (with every other weekend rotation) - must be able to work all weekdays when scheduled, Monday – Friday as needed, rotating weekends
Training: Candidate must be able to attend a paid six-week Monday-Friday training course, including virtual training days, classroom training days, and hospital shifts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: 1-year acute care experience as a Clinical Tech or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and/or 2 years of nursing school
Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
Certification: BLS within 90 days of hire.
Special Skills: Proficient in English. Verbal and written communication skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a similar unit/department preferred.
