Overview

CLOUD SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT (CASBEST):

Bowhead seeks a Cloud Solutions Architect to support the upcoming Cloud Acceleration Services (CAS) Business Enterprise Systems (BES) located in Montgomery, AL. The Cloud Solution Architect will lead assessment of BES and mission partner applications.

Responsibilities

• Identify migration candidates and dependencies.
• Develop target architectures, recommend service/deployment models, support cost-benefit analysis.
• Guide secure implementation in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Cloud One, or other approved cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related discipline.
• Twelve (12+) years enterprise IT experience; seven (7+) years designing cloud architectures; five (5+) years leading cloud assessments, application modernization, or migration efforts in Federal/DoD environments.
• Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert required/preferred; Cloud One/AWS GovCloud/Azure Government experience preferred; Security+ preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. 

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
