- Bus Driver (approx. 1 hour/day): Drive the school van to pick up children from local elementary schools and return them safely to The Goddard School. This round-trip route runs each school day afternoon.
- Resource Teacher / Floater (remaining hours): Support teaching and childcare across multiple classrooms as needed, filling in where faculty coverage is required throughout the day.

Responsibilities
Transportation:
- Safely operate the school vehicle on the daily after school pickup route (approx. 1 hour round-trip).
- Ensure all children are properly secured and accounted for during transport.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections per safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and comply with all applicable traffic laws and school policies.
- Communicate promptly with school leadership regarding any route changes, delays, or incidents.
Classroom Support:
- Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
- Support children's social and emotional development across age groups.
- Assist lead teachers with instructional activities, transitions, and daily routines.
- Build positive, professional relationships with families.
- Collaborate with the full faculty team and adapt to classroom needs as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
•    Valid Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record.
•    CDL or eligibility to obtain one may be required depending on vehicle type (school will provide guidance).
•    Ability to pass a background check, including driving record review.
•    Demonstrates empathy and compassion for young children.
•    Dependable, adaptable, and a collaborative team player.
•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to support child safety and program facilitation.
Preferred
•    Prior experience in early childhood education or childcare.
•    Experience transporting children or passengers professionally.
•    CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
