Job DetailsJob Location: Access Center - Leesburg - Leesburg, FL 34748Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Graduate DegreeSalary Range: $22.52Job Shift: DayJob Purpose: - The MA/MS Emergency Evaluator is responsible for conducting thorough assessments of individuals experiencing mental health crises. The role involves evaluating the immediate needs of clients, determining the appropriate level of care, and facilitating access to necessary services. The position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of clients by providing timely and effective intervention during emergency situations. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients presenting with mental health emergencies to determine the severity of their condition and immediate needs. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for clients in crisis. - Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services, including de-escalation techniques and supportive counseling. - Facilitate referrals to appropriate mental health services, including inpatient and outpatient treatment programs, based on assessment findings. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and client progress in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards. - Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences to review client cases and ensure continuity of care. - Stay informed about current best practices and advancements in emergency mental health evaluation and crisis intervention. - Provide education and support to clients and their families to help them understand and manage mental health conditions and treatment options. - Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards related to mental health evaluation and crisis intervention. QualificationsRequired Education: - Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Required Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency mental health evaluation or crisis intervention. - Experience working in a behavioral health setting, preferably in emergency services. - Familiarity with mental health assessment tools and techniques. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and evaluate mental health emergencies effectively. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. - Ability to work under pressure and handle high-stress situations calmly and efficiently. - Proficient in documentation and record-keeping related to patient evaluations and interventions. - Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in mental health care. - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. - Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on providing immediate and appropriate interventions.
